What MoneyCity is
MoneyCity (moneycity.pl) is a free web application that shows the investments you type in or import as a 3D city, and helps you keep up a habit of regular investing. It is run by a private person, reachable at [email protected]. By creating an account or using the guest city you accept these terms.
Not investment advice
MoneyCity is a tool for tracking your own portfolio and for learning. Nothing in the app, on this site, on the blog or in our emails is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer to buy or sell any security. Prices, dividends, exchange rates and calculations are shown for information, may be delayed or wrong, and may differ from your broker's. Investing involves the risk of losing money; decisions are yours alone.
Your account
- You sign in with a Google account. One person uses one account, and you keep access to it to yourself.
- MoneyCity connects to no broker and never holds your money. What you type in or import stays data about your own portfolio.
- You can download all your data and delete your account at any time from the account menu. Deleting removes your city and everything linked to it, as described in the privacy policy.
- We may block an account that breaks these terms or harms the service or other users; a blocked account is deleted a year later.
Your content
Your city, holdings and settings are yours. You give us only the right to store, process and display them so the service can work for you, and, if you turn sharing on, to show your public city at the link you choose to share. You decide whether the public link shows real building sizes and tickers; amounts are never shown publicly.
Acceptable use
- Don't enter other people's data, impersonate anyone, or use a nickname that is misleading, offensive or reserved.
- Don't scrape, overload, probe or interfere with the service, bypass its limits, or use it to send unsolicited messages.
- Don't use the service in a way that breaks the law or the rights of others.
Availability and liability
MoneyCity is provided free of charge and as it is. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free data or that it suits any particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using the service, from relying on the figures it shows, or from its unavailability. Nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law.
Changes
We may change these terms or the service, for example when adding features. We'll update the date at the top of this page, and for a change that limits what you can do we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days ahead. If you don't agree with a change, delete your account before it takes effect.
Governing law and contact
Polish law applies, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules of the country you live in. Questions and complaints go to [email protected]; we answer within a month.
